Stockholm Globe Arena Fastigheter


The Stockholm Globe Arena Fastigheter AB (SGA Fastigheter) is fully-owned by Stockholms Stadshus AB, which in its turn is owned by the City of Stockholm and functions as a holding company for the majority of the City’s joint-stock companies.

The main function of SGA Fastigheter is to manage and develop the event arenas the Ericsson Globe, Hovet, Annexet and Söderstadion and their surrounding areas. The company has owned the properties since 2002. Previously, the Sports Administration of the City of Stockholm owned the arenas.

On 8 September 2008, the City Council of Stockholm made a strategic decision for the building of the Stockholm Arena in the Globe area. The arena is 
expected to be completed in 2012 and will be owned 
by SGA Fastigheter.

 

 

Events in the Stockholm Globe Arenas
On 8 September, the City Council of Stockholm decided to sell the event company of the Globe group of companies, AB Stockholm Globe Arena, to AEG, Anschutz Entertainment Group.

AEG is one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world and manages a large number of arenas throughout Europe and the US. AEG takes over the responsibility for the event operations as a result of the sale. SGA Fastigheter retains ownership of the real estate.

AEG’s management contract runs from 1 October 2008 for 15 years.
